Thumbs Up

knowing the "Hardly Running" crowd, the electrics will probably offer an expensive (of course) loud as hell speaker/amplifier accesory that booms out the classic harley v-twein rumble LOL

Gotta agree .... The E-Clog sucked ....and the E stood for excrement around these parts....and that thing was billed as devined from above.... Ugh. I bought a new FXDX that year and absolutely loved that bike. Factory wrinkle black engine, black pipes, wheels, handlebars...no chrome. She was a lady.

I saw the LiveWire at the 2015 Vancouver Motorcycle Show. They had it on a pseudo-dyno, and were letting people twist the throttle. It was interesting.

We'll see how this goes. I know the Zero is supposed to be a viable scooter....though I have my personal issues with everything electric, whether it's a Tesla or a Zero.....but that's another subject, altogether.

Being an American motorcycle enthusiast, I used to borrow my buddy's V-Rod once in a while. For its utter lack of acceptance by the HD crowd, I was very impressed with its power and performance. It was also very comfortable to ride and I could haze that fat rear tire in second gear. That bike also never gave him a lick of trouble. I always said if it was someone else's bike, it would have probably been a complete success.

Everything on the road will be fully autonomous and electrified so we will just sit and wait and become completely passive throughout our lives. And by the way, there is no room for 2 wheelers in this equation. Doesn't that sound fun?

I have no use for 'E' bikes in my world.

The only 'E' motor I want is a starter motor.

The fact that they CAN be powerful (for a moment at any rate) has no bearing on my distain for them.

If others want to use them to save more gas for my use I am not opposed.

I believe the HD technology for E bikes was assimilated from acquistion of Brammo.

I test drove a couple different models of the Zero. I was impressed.

Power was awesome, and the range is improving. 180 miles on the 5 battery, enduro bike.

The bike can go fully submerged, but needs to dry out before running again. Normal water crossing is to the top of the batteries.

Problem with Harley is they will probably turn out an electric version of their 2 strokes of yesteryear.

Sounds soul-crushing to me. You may be right though, if we keep allowing them to brainwash and dumb-down our kids (Common Core and leftist propaganda constantly being fed to our kids in our schools). But I'm sure we won't mind after we're "re-educated."

Aww, c'mon, the government knows what's best for you and how you should spend your money and live your life. You'll be so "free" and there will be so much "social justice." It will be pure utopia. Let the "planners" tell you what to do from cradle to grave. Just like guns, those motorcycle things are MUCH too dangerous for the common folk to have, don't you know?
