Speedee Mods
I thought i would post a couple of the things i've modded on my speedee.
I put a 46t rear sprocket on to gain a few extra MPH...i also ground down a link on the chain and removed 3 links to accomodate the new sprocket. I love the extra speed and first gear is little longer now...makes a big difference...i may even go to a 40t in the future... I also added one of those cool seat covers...they add a bit of padding and width....that really helps on those long trips...I ride 2 hours everyday to school, now that i'm back in college...and my butt would be so raw without it...Thanks for the covers KATO!!! Other than that i added this cooler/case to the rear...which i just love... Bought from walmart for $8.00... Color and styling matches bike perfectly... Here you can see the underside...two removable bolts hold the rear of the case in place...one removable bolt holds the front of the case in place... The cooler/case has a hard plastic interior that makes the mounting to the bike very stable and secure. I also used extra rubber washers (that came with the bike) inside the case...it is still waterproof. I love it...and it's a good size too... 8) Have a great day everyone!! |

2 hrs a day? You're giving little speedee quite the workout.
Why do you have that huge red T-bar brace under your rear fender? Wait until you put handlebar risers on it. I'm VERY happy with that inexpensive mod! |

Really nice. Where did you order the rear sprocket from? I am definitely moving from a 56 to a 42. Nice pics.

Instead of getting risers, I eliminated the heavy steel handlebars and bought new higher ATV aluminum handlebars. This gets rid of some weight and makes real handguards possible. The stock flimsy cheap handguards will not protect anything in a crash. If I'm going to ride this on the street, I want at least a little crashworthiness. I'm actually thinking about getting Moose Racing aluminum handguards and shields. I found them at my local Yamaha shop today but passed on them. I may go back and get them! I'm going to go with all Moose Racing products on the X-Ranger.

Sam, I got the moose guards on mine. They are nice. I need to get the shields since the cold weather is coming.
