New member with pit bike
Hi all,
I just wanted to introduce myself since I've already posted in the DS/enduro forum. I live in ohio, i'm a college student, and am pretty new to riding. I've been practicing for about 5 months on a pit bike (125cc 4 speed manual clutch) and I'm looking hard at getting either a shineray speedee 200 or a lifan gy-5. I just want to say this site is great, and it's alot more friendly than ThumperTalk! |

Welcome ChiGongJitsu!
Whichever bike you decide on you won't be dissapointed. If you have a reliable dealer nearby, buy one there.

I am also new to riding, and ended up with a Shineray RSX200E. As far as I can tell, they are almost identical to the Lifan GY2, and sems to be a very well built little bike. Inverted forks, discs front and rear, good times. Bought mine for 800+200 shipping from Powersportsmax.com. Not regretting it at all. Spending $10 a month on gas as opposed to $150 for my F150 Supercrew ain't too bad, either!

I have to agree with the gas savings. My jeep gets about 16mpg on my commute.
I haven't used it in weeks. Bike every day. Allen
