Cougar 250cc Hawk
The Cougar 250cc Hawk looks identical to the original Hawk.

Oftentimes, retailers will tack on their 'own' brand name onto the 'official' bike, which in this case is the Haosen Hawk, and imported by Ricky Power Sports, who dub it simply 'the Hawk'
http://www.rickypowersports.com/#!hawk-250cc/z4ztr An example is this retailer who has 'two' different Hawks; Vento is an out of business Chinese brand, by the way, but this retailer evidently resurrected it http://www.motobuys.com/vento-hen-enduro-250cc.html They also have a 'Lancer' branded Hawk; Lancer is also an out-of-business brand of Chinese bikes: http://www.motobuys.com/lancer-enduro-250.html If you look back at the Ricky page, they show some photos of the Hawk with stickers (Lancer), and some without (Vento) on their site, they show the bikes side by side, funny enough, and a price difference, too!? http://www.motobuys.com/sportbikes.html One retailer actually calls their a 'Taotao' branded bike. The bottom line is to go with Ricky Power Sports, and in fact, one of their managers, Adam Rinkleff, here in the US posts on this site, and is the one who started this thread: http://chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=15269

The thing is it's on the Killer motorsports website for $1,749.

Do you have a link? The site I found, their distributor site, only has their bike lineup, but no prices.

My TMEC 200 had a 17 countersprocket, but the sadistic 56 rear, so it still felt worthless for anything over 45 mph. The highest rear I could find was a 48, and even that combo was quite harsh! Adam Rinkleff, please suggest to your Chinese masters that the next Hawk should come with 17/44 or 17/45 as Wolftrax has on order!

I have no idea if RPS owns Killermotorsports. I was just doing a little pricing research and recalled seeing the Cougar Hawk. Pretty sure all dealers drop ship their mail order Hawks through RPS.

I hear you, brother. I feel the same way about my bikes, which are all 250cc and under.

I'm considering buying a Hawk. I emailed killermotorsports asking if the Cougar and the RPS Hawk 250 were the same bike.
I got a fast answer from Jimmy that they are the same, but geared differently. He said the Cougar is geared for top speed of 70, but the RPS only about 55. |

I thought so too. I just wonder if it is correct? Does anyone on here have a Cougar Hawk?

The only cougar hawk I've seen here in the Ozarks, was a Republican ad-agency corporate vp in a stunning black cocktail dress at a party up in Branson, MO. ;0
