Clutch Cable

Hi All

A couple of nights ago the clutch cable on my Lifan broke. Most of the wire strands in a spot about 2" in from the lever end were broken. The cable stretched to the point where I couldn't disengage the clutch, which made for an interesting ride home.

Luckily my local dealer had one in stock and replaced mine under warranty. I have had the bike for about 4 1/2 months and have about 4200 KM's on it. The old cable was pretty dry and the outer sleeve was a little kinked where the break happened.

The good news is that the new cable works great. I lubed it well before installing it.

That happened on my dad's victory... I rode out and blocked intersections when he was coming, and he rode straight through... We were out in the boonies so it didnt hold up too many people and no one honked or complained
