Riding in the Cascade Mtns

Did some riding on the logging roads, and a few narrow trails that used to be mtn bike trails behind the Hyak ski area. Some of the riding was pretty wicked, one was up some steep loose dirt/rocks where we had to stay in 1st with our feet out as the trail was steep, winding, challenging but fun. I snapped a few shots, then my camera batteries went dead (figures). There was one trail we took that had a fallen tree blocking the path. We stacked a few smaller branches in front, then walked the bike over (front tire over, then ifted the back end on over. A little further down the path we ran into a fallen bridge. We ended up having to backtrack, back over the fallen tree and around on a different trail. Over-all the bike was excellent! It now has 86 clicks on the odometer and my buddy Ed riding a Honda XR200 was impressed enough that he is considering getting one (and giving his XR to his boy since it is not street legal).

I've added a couple photo's.... one is Ed checking out my bike about 1/3 into our riding.

Looks Cool,
I miss the mountains and they don't let you tear it up on the beach down here... Enjoy...

That was my buddy Ed checking out the Chinabike. He may end up buying one since he needs another bike so his son can ride too.
