My 2013 skyteam flashback z50 clone
My 2nd post here, I have a 2013 skyteam flashback 125 4 spd clutch.
When it was all stock, around 45 mph was top speed. What I found the issues were... Stock exhaust has a catalytic converter which chokes it. Stock carb is junk or was with mine as it isn't adjustable. I added a free flowing exhaust & a 22/24mm mikuni clone carb. It rips now and the speedometer says 65mph on flat ground. This is with stock 15/29 gearing & 3.50-8" tires. I put a 17 tooth front sprocket and still go 65mph with lower rpms on flat ground. I run out of room to see if it will go faster as the engine may not have enough power. |

I just bought the piranha 150 e start for it.
Why I don't know as its good with the 125 but we all love more power & torque. |

Wow! Plan on adding an oil cooler, as conventional wisdom indicates an oil cooler is wise above 140cc.
We're gonna need pics of the process!

Yeah ill probably add one soon after I get it running good and then make sure the lighting output is working correctly. It can run without an oil cooler but for longevity an oil cooler is a must.

Engine arrived I just don't know when I'll start working on it.
I also need to decide if I want to run a true mikuni vm 24 or 26 carb with it. 26 for more top end for sure Also change out the exhaust with a larger diameter one. |

plug and play it should be other than the wiring. i just got to make sure which wire goes from engine harnes to body harness so it runs & charges the battery properly.
The engine will drop right into the bike and bolt up. I bought it from wholesale cycle but tbolt sells it also. It was on sale at $100 off so I bought it. The two websites below have all kinds of go fast parts for our bikes. http://wholesale-cycle.com/product/2...NGINE-E-Start/ http://tboltusa.com/store/piranha-15...is-p-2477.html The stock locin engine has that pos one that doesnt adjust much so i put a mikuni 22mm carb like this one. You can find it cheaper on eBay or other sites for around $35. They should all be the same http://wholesale-cycle.com/product/9...MM-CARBURETOR/ Last edited by BLACK DEATH; 11-11-2014 at 07:40 PM. |

I will do that.
I just need to decide if I want to put it in this one or my other 2013 skyteam that's in black. I mean I love my maroon one and it runs perfect, so why mess up a good running bike. The black one is brand new and hasn't been started up yet. Just put together. I also have a few other 50s, two Jincheng panda fun riders 50cc 3 spds. Years 99 & 00 6volts. All titled in my name... I need to liquidate as I have too many mini bikes... I also have a few honda z50r bikes |

The black one is the dummy pic as I haven't taken any pics of it yet. Since its black & chrome I'm either going to black it out or leave it chrome with more chrome or aluminum |
