Storm 250 (DB-08-250)
I thought I would upload what I have in pictures and let anyone else know what they are in for.
So far - so - reasonable lol Every now and again, I remind myself what I paid to have this NEW bike delivered to my door, and once again I start laughing. ![]() I won't go over everything again, as I have some of it covered in another post It does look to be a "new-ish" product, and so far parts are not massively available. Technically it is a DB-08-250 (It was written on the Chinese packing box) And some parts can be found HERE I'll try and keep this updated with anything new so if you’re thinking of buying one, you will , at least have a point of reference. Just to stress again, I didn't have any instructions AT ALL with this, and I assembled it all myself. So it can be done, with a little ingenuity, and possibly some stupidity.. so not recommended.

Reasonable care had been taken during packing, but it wasn't completely unscathed. I guess I can live with it... I also had too many fasteners. Not sure what the clip type ones were for. Look like they could attach something to some plastic part??

I had a lot to do that day, and the delivery was outside the time they stated it would be delivered (by about 26 hours) So I couldn't go anwhere until I knew they were coming. The build went into the night and I had to call it a day (night) Then finish up the next morning..

I'll be adding to this in a week or so mine shipped yesterday. Are there any fasteners you would upgrade if you had it to do over again? I'm going to do something about that exhaust and smog setup soon but I will take others advice and break the bike in first,

I'll be looking for a smaller rear sprocket, or maybe a 1 tooth + on the front. It needs just a little more, and the bottom end can handle it easily, in fact I start off in 2nd mostly now. And now here is the not so good.
The vent in the tank, pumps gas out if you fill right up, as the breather hole is submerged and it just pours out through the cap. And as you see... the paint isn't fuel proof. ![]()

I'll start looking around to see if I can find a suitable breather tube style cap. If I find one that works I'll let you know. I don't expect this bike to be perfect but I like to tinker and its an inexpensive way to see if I want to get back into riding. l'll mostly use it checking on fences around the place and riding back and forth to the shop less than 8 miles on country roads round trip.

I decided I didn't trust the oil that came with it and dumped it after about 35km.. I put in Mobil 1 V Twin and feel a bit safer now. Metal screen filter looked scary but, new engine, so to be expected. 350km on the clock now so I'm winding it up a bit more and it pulls well.
I also added a rear top box for it too.. ebay, 20 bucks! Great deal, it's silver and looks and works great. I'll add a pic when I get home.

If we find the right fittings we could almost rig up something like this. If it causes problems we just plug it and try something else.

The tank is pressurized.. maybe I'll see if it works by gravity alone?

I think it has something to do with the tank being smog compliant. I think they are required to keep fuel vapor in the tank and we may just have to not over fill and live with it. Gotta love the EPA they obviously do not own any small engines personally.

I hereby dub it "The Busch Bike." I love how the license plate matches a case of Busch.
Nice job on the pink tribute bike.
