New 2008 Qlink XP 200 + some Questions
Hello all!! After reading through this forum and mychinamoto I decided to buy this from a local guy here in Utah for $900 with 1700km on it.
I have learned a lot from the forums about what parts interchange, but i am having trouble finding out about levers. Clutch + brake levers. Can I order any levers, or which other bikes are interchangeable? Both the handlebar, and both levers are bent from the previous owner. Also, The left fork is discolored and silver mostly instead of the golden color that the right fork is. Any problems with this? I plan on New Levers, Handlebar, Grips, and Hand guards. Any help would be great!! |

The levers should be pretty standard if your replacing the perch and all. If you just want the lever you will need to match them up.
The discoloration on the outside is not a issue performance wise. |

I installed Tusk T-10, aluminum handlebars on my Zongshen 200GY-2. http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/...k%20handlebars I installed Tusk D-Flex Handguards on my Zong, Honda XR650L, and Honda CRF250X. http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/...k%20handguards I have previously installed the Pro Taper Pillow Top Grips; a lot of riders like them. I am just now switching to the ProGrip Rally 714 grips; they are the softest, thickest grips I have yet discovered. http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/...%20top%20grips http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...sport-mx-grips

Nice bike, great price.
+1 on Spud's sage advise. Bring the levers to any independant motorcycle shop and match them up with the currently produced motorcycle they match up with. I suspect it will be a DR200 but I don't know.

Nice looking bike. I think some have used oven cleaner to remove the gold finish on the forks. It is just a coloring.

My Zongshen forks are bare aluminum, without any paint, and I prefer them that way. As Kato stated, you can remove the paint, or you can paint them again, in the same color, or another color. I think someone on these forums recently painted his forks.

I hope the front tire didn't separate from the rim!

No, Rubber stayed on, just the tube lost all the air and I went down. Some road rash and bruising but all is good. Jacket is in the mail, where it did me a lot of good...
Rim seems to be fine. Now the handlebars and levers are bent on both sides haha Even more reason to upgrade |

That sucks but glad you are OK.
We should have mentioned that the stock Chinese tubes can be of poor quality, but we have not heard of problems with a Q. My Q's used good quality name brand Kenda tubes. You may want to repalce the rear tube also as a precaution.

Nice bike at a fair price. I hope you have many happy miles on it.
I stripped the coating off of my forks with oven cleaner, and I painted the forks with enamel heat paint. It has suffered a few rock chips, but it was just a cheap experiment. I recommend heavy duty or even extra heavy duty tubes.
