In one ride. I lost a countershaft cover bolt, had and engine bolt loosen, had an electrical malfuntion due to a crushed wire and had the spokes loosen...
I feel like I have reached a milestone! WOOT!

i've had rides like that before you can get home to fix one problim something else happens. it'll get better well at least mine did

yeah you gotta watch the wires and cables, I went over mine with that wrap around corrogated plastic stuff for covering wires and put it around any cable or wire that was rubbing on anything.

Jims right, Wire loom can be a life saver for most wires..

The wiring I have tied, tucked, taped, greased the connectors and heat shrunk most everything. What I missed was a connector routed inside the case. When I lost a bolt the case gapped and allowed the wire where it wasn't supposed to be and it got pinched.

I would actually like to make a new harness with better gauge wire and waterproof connectors. I may do it as I already have most of the stuff on hand. From what I have seen I think the electrical system is the weakest part of these bikes.

heh, everyone keeps pointing out the part they think is the weak spot

I have been lucky to have no wiring issues, and I think I have a more complicated wiring system (alarm, remote start)

Actually the wiring on my bike will serve it's intended purpose just fine, it just dosen't have much, if any overhead. Right now I need more lighting and just don't have the room for it.

mines canadian, we get an alarm and remote starter

(I dont see the point in remote starting a bike, where you are supposed to have the fuel switched off).

I don't mind most of my lighting but am considering changing to an LED rear tailight, not an led bulb, but an actual light like off a truck.
