Hello from Croatia

Hi guys. I'm from Croatia. I spent 7-8 yrs on japanese bikes (gsxr 750), and now I'm on zongshen gy200. It gives a bit more of freedom to move around (gravel roads, off road...) but lacks power...but hey, with this price i won't argue

An excellent little bike. You will find more info on it here than I would say anywhere on the web.

Which year GSXR? An air/oil cooled one?

@fastdoc...first was gsxr from 1987 oil cooled (had it a little less than 3 years, roughly 30K km ridden), and second one was gsxr 1996 SRAD water cooled (almost 6 years on it, round 45K km). Now it's 2007 air cooled gy-200 i have it bit over 2 months and have made almost 3000km up until now...it's total (previous owner+me) is 19K on odo)
it's a bit strange transition but hey, better than nothing, and with this bike i'd say much better. if its fuel consumption was any lower it would produce fuel
@everybody else i'll post some pics soon (any rules on that...can i post it in this topic or it must be in photo&video section of forum)

sorry if my english sucks...i hope at least it makes some sense

Your English is excellent. It's great to have another Zongite join us. Forum member Max_Damage is also from Croatia, and he has traveled many miles on his Zongshen 200GY-2.

I bought my ZS200GY-2 new, in-the-crate. I have ridden my bike over 98,000 kilometers (62,500 miles). Change the oil every 1,000 kilometers, and check the valve lash periodically. If you faithfully perform these maintenance tasks, your Zong will perform reliably for many years.

Your writing in English is great, and better than many people who grew up in America...

I am a big GSXR fan, but it's the original First and Second Generation air/oil cooled models that I covet, the 1100 in particular since it was much more comfortable than the 750, and I am old... I'd love a red/white/blue model.

All good motorcycles are fun, regardless of the style or displacement. I have everything from an antique CB175 to a tricked out Ducati and I love them both and everything in between.

Plus, how often could you ride a GSXR balls out and not get killed? You can do that all the time on a 200 and laugh all the way home from the gas station.

Have fun!
