Klx400 craigslist

Hey guys, I just wanted your advice on this bike I'm going too look at on Friday. Is this a fair deal? Anything I should look for? I know there similar to a drz. Any help would be great. http://albany.craigslist.org/mcy/4122222982.html

That looks like a screaming deal. The KLX/DRZ is a very very solid relaible bike with no problem areas I am aware of, although you may want to consult a brand specific forum or Thumper Talk.

FWIW, it's identical to a DRZ except the color. Kawasaki and Suzuki collaberated on this model, which IIRC is really a Suzuki.

A couple of caveats though...

I don't think this bike was originally fitted with an odometer, just a trip meter, so it that is the case the advertised mileage is meaningless.

Also, the year is not listed. It may not matter much as they were all the same but it implies it's not a later model.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think, I repeat, "I think", KLX version is the sporty DRZ one, i.e. flat-side carburetor, race cam(s), etc.

Egads! That is a smoking deal! Snatch up that bike quickly, before someone else beats you to it!

Thanks for the info. I thought they were identical, but maybe the green one is faster than the yellow :-)

My brother had one. His was street legal in TX and all original. It had a speedo and odo.

Not sure about the carb or anything, but it was the same as the DRZ.
