One of my first motorcycle loves was my brother in law's 1976 (or so) blue CB550 Super Sport. I loved him taking me for rides on that when I was 10 years old. Thanks foir sharing the picture.

I was working a Tweed Ride registration table when I saw the couple come in on the bike. When I got some free time, I tried to find them but no luck. I got busy again when I saw them leave. I wouldn't mind having one in my garage.

That bike looks a lot like my 1979 CB400T. I like the old Honda street bikes.

Honda of that vintage just look 'right'.
They have an excellent aesthetic and proportion. They look like the iconic motorcycle/UJM. Plus, many of our generation associate them with fond childhood memories, further enhancing their appeal :-) This is why Little Sweetie has a place in my garage.

I had a 1971 CB500 that had a similar look but ran a 4 into 2 exhaust instead of 4 into 1 like this one. The 4 into 1 is much cleaner looking, IMNSHO.
IIRC, the SS front brake rotor was NOT your friend on a rainy day. It would take it's time deciding when it would start to slow you down, then grab.

Here's something a bit different,
1947-48 'H' engined Whizzer. Really like that fuel tank. Years ago, I had an 'H' set-up on an old Rollfast frame with Whizzer forks. It was missing half the drive train but I still managed to sell it for five times what I paid for it.

The lines of that frame are lovely; I appreciate how the tank is below the backbone. I'd like to build a flyweight motorcycle in that style some day.

A couple more wild creatures I saw at a Walneck's swap today.
CZ And a Cushman Eagle It's a good thing I ride the CX to these things, can't buy anything I can't haul on the bike. Walked away from beat up CB350 and the CZ but managed to find a CX starter and a pair of carb intakes for $20.

I like the CZ! Though I'm not a fan of two strokes in any way shape or form, so that would scare me off

D'accord on the two smokes. Still......
I have a soft spot for Eastern European cameras, why not Eastern European bikes.

I saw bikes like that running all over when I was in Israel, but have never seen one in the states. Looks like fun, but I'm guessing parts not available at the local CZ dealer...
Good score on the Honda parts!
