2006 Vento Mountrack 200cc Enduro
A few days ago I purchased a 2006 Vento Mountrack 200cc for $150.00 The bike is almost identical to a Zong GY 200 as far as I can tell. The engine is stamped VE167FML. The fellow I bought it from told me he picked it up in a trade. He said the guy told him the clutch was bad and he couldn't get spark. As I loaded it up, he asked me if I wanted the 'old clutch and basket'. Of course I said yes. I am still diagnosing the ignition issue, but to my measuring the 'old clutch plates' they read 3.05mm, thickness. I have downloaded your Maintenance manual, and it states 2.60mm is in tolerance. The old clutch plates look New. I assume I should just reasemble. Any thoughts?
Thanks for responses. Always wanted a TW200, and I hope I got one on the Cheep! Last edited by oviking99; 08-14-2013 at 01:13 AM. |

Welcome to these forums, fellow Zongite! Indeed, you got an excellent, Chinese copy of the Yamaha TW200.
If you downloaded the TW200 Service Manual, you can trust the information found within. Have you verified the ignition problem is a lack of spark?

Good score!
I'd certainly use those plates. Do you want a flat black rear fender for cheap? I have one that has never been installed.

Clutch and Ignition.
Thanks for the welcome and quick replies!
The ignition may be a wiring issue, of which I am still 'rebuilding' poorly maintained connectors and lack there of. There is no spark at the plug end. I am in the process of checking the stator and cdi wires. I found the pickup connector had a green (I assume 'ground) pin that was not even in the connector. I corrected that and still no spark. I haven't checked all the resistances or voltages yet. Want to make sure all the wiring is correct first. I'm hoping all the measurements are in the manual. In the foreground of the picture is a Zong 250cc of which is awaiting a stator. I'm hoping to get lucky and not replace the stator in the GY 200. How much for the fender? I live in Cumming GA 30506. Thanks again for the welcome. |

By the way Spudrider, thanks for such great information. I also own a 2004 United Motors Renegade 200cc ZS169fml. So I'm actually a three timer with Zongs! I've had a hard time locating any info on it as well. And then I found this site!

Great bike for a low price! My TMEC Enduro 200 also has the ZS169FML engine as you stated your UM has one. I liked the looks of the Vento version out of the 3 brands they had in the mid-2000's due to its camo paint.
