Ssr xf250?
Hey, gang.
Long time. I'm thinking of a sport bike/enduro as a play bike/commuter. I saw the SSR XF250 online and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this bike? Quality? Ride? Likes and dislikes? Or is there some other bike out there you would recommend? So, here's where it gets good. I wanna do an engine swap on whatever bike I get. Maybe something like a Honda CRF250 (approximately 35 hp)...good for commuting. This would not be my main bike as I still have my '01 Suzuki Bandit 1200S. So, anything you can offer, I'd appreciate it. Nuff said. Thanks! olds_cool63 |

Welcome back. I think forum member Culcune posted a thread on the SSR XF250 in this forum.

Just something that will fit with few frame mods that has a bit more oomph for keeping up with/passing/not holding up traffic. Nuff said. olds_cool63 |

Is this the bike with a Suzuki 250? If so I would not change the motor, it's already a great commuter.
A CRF250R engine would serve poorly. It really is a bit of a grenade. A CRF-X motor would be a better choice if you wanted to go that route.

Rwerksman is thinking about becoming a dealer of these and has an honest thread about his experiences. I don't think you would need to swap the engine for commuting.
