Looks like a halfway decent sportbike... running our engine? The Chinese must be hard pressed for new reliable engine designs.

The bike looks good, But they have really got to start putting bigger engines in those things.

Zongshen does have a 250 GS version. Contact member 'halfpinoy007' as he has been touting his race parts for both the GS200 and GS250 bikes. He has exhausts and internals, as well as dress-up parts for the Zongshens.

Here is his Ebay store:

yea, i have been conversing with him about a motor and asked him if he can get me a HID setup for my bike from china. I have seen some people that have them in china and they literally plug and play. So i told him to get me some info and a price for us china riders over in the states.

I am very curious about that motor, it nearly doubles the HP output, but i wonder for how long. Also, i wonder what octane you would need to run it? hopefully just pump 91 or 93 with some additive.

He has both his built Stage 1 and Stage 3 (not sure where 2 went) on Ebay. The 1 seems to be relatively affordable, but I would hesitate due to shipping costs. The guy has some good parts for most of the Chinese bikes including both sportbikes and enduros. It's about time that someone has them in one place. As he introduces more parts, and competition starts to get in on the action, we will finally start moving to what I would call "the next step" with these bikes; more power. In a way, they seem to be like the 5.0 Mustangs--no real changes occurred from '87 to '95 and the aftermarket filled in the performance void left by Ford. Our 150 and 200cc engines have been the same thing for a few years now and are just begging for hop up parts.

Exactly!

(Some of my dealer friends here don't seem too interested in getting me a replacement engine, LOL)

Actually, I just have to get through the summer and its August or nothing.

I did say "LOL" It has really been whether or not I have the $$ to go to an engine at that particular time ("that particular time" being when I have the money, but don't want to spend it on an engine right then). So then I end up talking myself out of an engine, regardless of where I can get one. It has really been a viscious cycle...and yes, my own doing! (with all the z's, I just couldn't resist my comment, )
