Hondoid (specifically GY-5) suspensions ever figured out?
Guys,
I was curious if anyone every figured out a simple cure to the Hondoid suspension. IIRC, the Saga didn't really have the same problem with the shock linkage the Lifan GY-5 had. Was Red2003's Linkage fix the answer, or was the later suggestion to just throw an R1 shock in there sufficient? I'd kind of like to get my hands on another China bike of the Hondoid variety... the Konker/Q-Link etc are great too, but I really had a soft spot for my old GY-5. |

That's a great question, Zack! I hope someone has the definitive answer.

Hi
I used an early cbr600 shock. I remain happy with it. Easy fitment other than needing to change the mounting holes on the bike to 10mm from 12mm (weld on thick washers!) Frog |
