Expo Moto 2012, Lima, Peru

Today I went to Expo Moto 2012, billed as Lima's first international motorcycle show, admission was free, a lot of motos and few people there, it was great day.
The most interesting China moto was the the Keeway RK6, it's a four cylinder 600cc. The engine has a Benelli logo, not sure what it is, a Chinese Benelli? The quality was great and it's selling for US $8000. There was a lot to see, I'll get some photos loaded up tonight.

Great photos (of course) and great bikes! Someone had posted something on mychinamoto a while back regarding the connection between Binelli and Keeway.

http://www.mychinamoto.com/forums/sh...ghlight=keeway

Looks like an interesting bike

Thanks for the link culcune, I'm still confused, this article says that the engine is supplied by a Japanese company http://www.motofichas.com/novedades/...sde-china.html and manufactured by Qianjiang, with "replica Brembo" brakes. So it's a Qianjiang with a Keeway nameplate and a Japanese engine with a Benelli logo I guess, that said, fit and finish is great.

The thread on mychinamoto is long, but at one point, someone pointed out that Qianjiang bought Benelli, or invested millions in Benelli.

Thanks for posting the great photos, OG! The expo looks like a lot of fun. It's nice to see a Zongshen 200GY-2 on display!

Yes, I certainly did notice. The knobby tires were available in the United States when I bought my Zong in 2008; otherwise, I probably would not have bought my bike. The 15-inch knobby tires are widely available in China and other parts of the world. However, you can no longer purchase the 15-inch knobby tires in North America. :(

Yes, that Zong has the standard Chinese muffler, as shown in the following photo.

The stock exhaust system on my U.S. Zong weighed 11 pounds! 8O I removed 7 pounds from my Zong when I switched to the FMF Universal Spark Arrestor.

I love the old Honda 305. :P

Very nice pics. There were a number of bikes I'd love to own and ride there.

Doc, that Honda Superhawk is a 250, I also mistook it for a 305, one of my favorite Honda's of all times. Speaking of Honda's, they are going to import the NC700X to Peru, it is nice to see a motorcycle designed for gas mileage not power, $10,995 in Peru for the standard one. The KTM Duke 200 was also introduced with a small ceremony. Here are a few more photos.
