Hi Bird has Lifan Engine / same bike as Lifan? Parts?

Hi guys,

I just bought a Hi Bird QH200GY, it has a Lifan Engine, is the bike a Lifan or is Hi Bird a seperate brand using Lifan engines?

Can I buy Lifan parts for the bike?

Will Japanese parts work? I have had a YamaHondaSukiaki before, I know it works with Japanese bikes allot, has anyone bought parts for their chinese bikes at Japanese bike dealers?

I REALLY need a spacer, washers & nut for my rear axle BADLY!!!

Any info appreciated, been looking at some of the old posts a little at a time.

Problem is that the parts are gone so I don't even really know what I need and what they look like, dimmensions, etc.

If someone could email me a high def closeup of the wheel area of the rear axle nut side I would really appreciate it.

If there is a spacer there would appreciate knowing the length.

Thanks!

Dan

Dan,
The axle nut's easy it's 14mm dia x 1.5mm pitch. The spacer would depend on which rear brake you have, disc or drum? My disc has a spacer on the sprocket side, which I'd think would be the same on the drum brake and the caliper bracket acts as a spacer on the other.

Jonathan.

The Hi Bird should have a drum rear brake, I think. You can make a spacer out of a piece of pipe. Just stick the wheel in there and see what you need to make up the difference. Cut it a little long as the rear wheel assembly fits in there pretty tight. Get the nut at you local hardware store and viola!
