Deceptive Business Practices ?

Found this reading the usage policies on another website (freewebs), thought it might be useful to some people here.

Quote:

For whatever it's worth, I contacted the FTC about a company last year, and they seemed to be dealt with fairly quickly.

My complaint was about promotional emails. I "opted out" month after month, each time thinking "no more of that", only to get a new email the following month. I contacted the company (which required I provide an email address and create an account) several times and finally just gave up on them ever helping.

I contacted the FTC and the emails stopped for 2 months, then started up again...at which point I contected the FTC once more, providing all of the case numbers and information from the previous experience, and I haven't seen an email from that company since. Finally!

Granted, my situation wasn't the same as what some may potentially need the FTC's help with here, but they DO take action based on the information you submit via their online form. I was never contacted directly. All I wanted was for the emails to stop. Mission accomplished!

I chose this section since it is for dealers and distributers. As you know Almon and I over on www.china-moto.com and I recently became dealers for not only parts but motorcycles. In addition to being an authorized V-Bike dealer we also searched new suppliers in order to be able to market motorcycles at a cheaper price and provide better service to buyers. We were contacted by a importer by the name of Travis Oberg dba Yoshida Motorsports and a year of talking to him we finally made a couple of purchases from him. After not receiving our products we became suspicious and made deeper inquiries. The full story is below please view it.

I posted in this section since he does not go after individual purchasers but dealers. If you have been contacted by this guy...do not believe ANYTHING he says. He is very smooth and convincing. BEWARE.

Read the story here. We are finding more and more buyers each day that have been or are in the process of being de-frauded out of their money by this thief.

Thanks and beware,
Almon and Stan

i got a very bad experience with excalibur motorsports.

beware of doing business with this company. good and friendly when taking your money but no response when something goes wrong.

see my thread here.

PM me if you have any questions i will be glad to explain in detail what happened to me. hopefully no one else has to go through this kind of unnecessary loss.

If you are a company do not advertise a warranty when in reality there is no warranty or gaurante that you will get a safe working bike.

thats what their marketing should say "send us your money we may send you a working bike, but , maybe not and if not you deal with it and we still keep all of your money"!

again buyer beware.

It appears that Saferwholesale may be one to avoid. See this thread:

There is a random member 'manny' who ended up buying a Honda instead of an Enforcer. The 'real' Manny did join here as Txpowersports at one point (I believe that is the member's name?).
