Brand of peanut butter is not important for the goo removal process.
I wish it was JIF, but it is Skippy. Costco had recalled all the JIF when they had the salmonella contamination and they replaced all the JIF in my local Costco stores with Skippy.

Templar x 250 is done
Well,
The time has finally come. I ran out of things to do before inspection and registration. I still have plenty I want to do to the bike after inspection and registration: Suspension work, Rim Lock delete, Wheel balancing, Gearing changes, etc. Sticker peel is done. The right hand side panel had a lot of trapped air bubbles as compared to most of the other panels on the bike. I pricked them with a small needle and got most of them squeezed towards and out of the single hole. Rear profile trying to tempt me to ride as its one of the warmer days we'll have this week before the next canadian cold front hits. Front profile. Ignore the charger/tender, detail of the rear fender sticker.

Just bought the insurance, that means I am free starting tomorrow to ride it to a shop that does state vehicle inspections and get the safety inspection done that is required by the county to register it.

First ride what a blast
First Ride
10 Miles put on the OD. I got lost in my own housing estate! - LOL I never visited the back half of my housing estate before as it has only recently been constructed and houses built out, so I rode back there to have a look. Went through half the streets up and down as I got familiar with the bike handling at low speeds. As the engine was now getting its own scoop air cooling I did some minor adjustments to the idle screw halfway through the ride and dialed it in nice. Then I went out to the street on that side of the estate and headed north thinking I would hit the farm to market street that runs west to east on the north side of the housing estate. There was some construction, I slowed down for that, passed on by and kept riding into the dappled shade of old tree lined curvy rural roads. What a lovely ride. And then I noticed I never hit that farm to market road and instead ended up 4 miles up the road north past it some how. So the adventure is already beginning, seeing more to the world around me that I never did before. Wows from the ride. 24 MPH in 5th gear and 35 MPH in 6th gear. I will definitely need to install that lower tooth rear sprocket I have sitting on the workbench table. I wound it out a bit on the ride back when I hit the wide straight housing estate development roads and got off the rural road section. I must have gotten close to 55 MPH indicated on the digital dash. But yeah, it was pushing it to get up there on an engine that still needs the break in process with OEM low gearing.

I did more work but now that its build is finished and inspection time, I moved those posts to the main Templar X 250 thread on the forum.
I have my chain now, I have my sprocket. I just need a chain breaker tool to continue. I also am not as motivated to jump right in before inspection because I also have my tire spoons, rim guard and more importantly rim lock caps so I can finally pull the tires, pull the rim locks out, rinstall the tires and balance the wheels with wheel weights so the are ready for higher speeds. Then I have to pull the rear wheel sprocket, install my new sprocket, reinstall the rear wheel, install the new chain, set the chain slack... yeah too much before inspection, I'll do that after inspection is done and/or after going in for registration with the county.

Wow! That is odd. Have you received any emails from Powersportsmax or Maxpro regarding your order since you paid?

How long did it take to get your motorcycle from powersportsmax?
I live in Illinois or just a little over 2000 miles away from powersportsmax. I ordered a 125cc cafe cruiser yesterday and the current status is verifying billing. I was hoping to get it by next friday while im on vacation. But if it comes after my vacation can it be delivered in the afternoon after work?

Has anyone had a recent experience with shipping large or specialty items? What company did you use and how did it go?
