Yes they do and it makes sense considering the demographic. :idea:

GW owners tend to be much older, more experienced, and conservative in their riding style than most other motorcycle owners. Therefor a high performance motorcycle is not a priority.

Many Gold Wing riders have ridden hundreds of thousands of miles, and speed and performance are not the highest priority.

Also for a Gold Wing owner the 700 makes a good additional bike as it is comfortable, reliable, and easy on the aging bones :wink: .

I do not believe I fit the typical Gold Wing demographic, except for the mileage experience. :wink:

I just read an article in Cycle world on the Honda NCX700 and they liked it. They say the motor is uninspiring but efficent and capable and the chassis and suspension are good. Aside form calling it 'vanilla' I don't think they had anything bad to say. Indeed they think this is an important step in the future of motorcycling.

I still don't like it, but I suspect I'm an outlyer. That's OK. :wink:

Excellent analogy.

A good bike but not the sort a person like me will get a coffee mug with it's picture on it. A jacket with it's name embroidered on it. A guy won't walk into the garage late at night if he can't sleep to take a good look at it. He won't think about it if bored in a meeting. He may not take the long way home from work. He won't freeze on it on a clear cold winter day because he's rather be comfortable in the cage.

I know it's good, but it does not intrest me.

That's OK.
