Mud Rat.
Temps in the low 60's today so after church The Dirt Rat and I went up the hills to have some fun . All the snow, except for a little at the higher elevations, is gone, but the trails were muddy in places. The Dirt Rat was in it's element 8) .
Even with the power washer it took a little time to get it clean! Still, a winter's day well spent.

To me that's the perfect size serious off road trail bike. Big enough to scramble up steeps hills, yet small enough to manhandle if it gets stuck or to get it up over big rocks or logs.

Thanks for posting the photos, Doc. However, I am sorry to inform you, winter doesn't begin for another week! 8O Nevertheless, I am very glad the temperatures have returned to seasonal norms.

Thanks for the depressing fact, Brother Spud! AT least it's December. In 2 weeks the days will start getting longer and we can look forward to getting out of this mess!

Doc, maybe this is the bike to take riding with your friends next time. You took the mighty Q last time, and you felt that a dirt-specific bike would have been a better choice.

You bet, W&G. Much of the time I was building this bike that's what I was thinking too. I'd have to bootleg it a bit as about 5 miles or so is on a public road, but other people in our small group also have dirt only bikes and no one seems to mind.
