It's easier to spend someone else's money

I almost got the one that was for sale up here for $1300 used... I don't really want to own 2 at a time anymore (not counting my old ones) so if I did the Vulcan would have to go.. Trying to debate whether or not I want to let that happen. Not sure the 200 would be a good idea for road trips.

Anyways, how does this tax business work? What difference does it make waiting until January?

It's a gamble. I'm closing a policy I don't need anymore and it's got a surrender value.....which is income I'll have to pay taxes on. I'd rather defer this to next year........but everyone is supposed to be hit with tax increases next year so.....so.....so..... :?

Well, I am holding off buying until after the first of the year too. Hoping that my wife will at least get an interview soon. Funds are nonexistent for the rest of the year.

Grasshopper, you must be strong and resist temptation...

Hang tight...when I "found" my MZ Tour, the guy quoted me $2800. Didn't have the cash and momma insisted.
Saved it up, went back and said "How much?"
Got it for $2300

Thanks....I have to. I'm just trying to look at short term stuff now....I have a wedding to do on Tuesday night... Cioppino at Ma's a week from now, (it's her Christmas present to the family) and Christmas to try to get thru.... At least I have distractions!
....and like Kato says....not any real extra money during the year so I want to do this right with this little "Pennies From Heaven" I'm getting.

I paid on that policy for years and it went south. The least I can salvage is a new bike out of it!

This has to be the funniest Chinariders thread this month!!

I'm still chuckling. What a bunch of kooks in here.

Reminds me of the time I told someone I had no money to buy anything, but yet he kept tempting me with craigslist ads of deals he was finding..

Sounds like a fine friend indeed. You should buy him a root beer.
