I don't live in Canada (although this bike, me, and wifey are going up to Nelson BC next summer). I got it from:
http://www.pitsterpro.com/bike/specs/id/37 and although I could have ordered it online, I choose to speak to a real live individual at: (801) 796-7416. Gary was his name, a no nonsense down to business fellow who took time to answer my umpteen million emails and get my bike to my door this Friday afternoon. Perspective check: I ordered it Wendsday Morning. As long as I get my paperwork and the DMV doesn't give me a headache I'll give it all an A+ for effort, product, and the fact that I didn't get a migrain. It is a six speed, it does 80MPH easily and doesn't vibrate my dental work. Best part: It isn't scarry at all. Just rock solid. I got nervous only because it was 80 in a 35, I don't have plates, and I live here and would be quite embarassed to get pulled over - but there is a 1/2 mile stretch of straight country road..... Until tomorrow Daddy 8) |

Nelson is one of the finest places on the planet. Have you been there before?
What is that engine patterned after? Congrats on the new bike!

As far as the trip odometer is concerned, according to the specs you linked to, a digital speedo with trip odometer is supposed to be standard? Does yours have the digital speedo? If so maybe there is some way to access a menu to display trip miles. I know it's a PITA to not have a trip meter, for some reason my Konker didn't have one either. Without a gas gauge you almost have to have one. Nice looking bike!
Cheers, Stew Edit: Ahh, just saw your pics. It doesn't have the digital speedo. The instrument cluster looks exactly like my Konkers did except where your temp gauge is I had a tach. Beautiful bike! |

Thanks for posting the photos; the bike looks great. When you have the opportunity, please post photos of the "naked" bike, sans fuel tank, seat, plastic, et cetera. How comfortable is the saddle?

Very Nice! I have a Honda XR650L (heavy and tall) and the Zong Sierra 200 (lighter and smaller).. This seems like a great middle alternative.
When delivered, what prep was involved to get it in running condition? Just putting on the front wheel and connecting the battery? |

It will be a while before I take it all apart and take pictures. The seat is pretty stiff, but it feels that way because it is new I think (hope). THe actual seating position is great tho. Even 2-up it is comfortable.
