Our OHC engines require 95 or above according to the manual, which is about 90 or 91 US octane rating. Check one more for higher octane = slower burn.

Wow!
I sparked of such a debate. I just posted my experiance and what the local shop here recomends. I do have a diferent bike from the majority here and I think I just managed to do all the wrong things at the same time. 1 I ran the bike at wide open throtle far an extended period. 2 Ran it at wide open throtle on a hot day 3 Ran it lean, I had just put in a free flowing filter the week before and planed on adjusting carb after checking the plug. 4 ran premium fuel with a lean condition. If your bike is performing well and you are happy don't change anything because of anything I say. Just enjoy it. |
