billr's MZ Traveller
Hi all,
My MZ Tour will run no more. Flooded Tour I have already found and purchased a replacement. 2001 Skorpion Traveller This is the "same" bike set-up with fairing and luggage added. Flew to New Hampshire and rode it home to Nashville, TN. 1200 miles makes the butt tired. I think of it as my "East German Chinabike." They're out of production, use Yamaha parts and nobody knows what the heck it is. At least I can sneak into a Yamaha dealer with the "correct" part number and get out with what I need  Later, Bill |

That's a nice looking machine. Congrats on your iron butt adventure.

Well, probably not a total loss. You have a parts bike.
Nice to have those hard bags

That is a very nice looking motorcycle, Bill. I am glad you found a replacement for your other bike.

Totally agree on the "parts bike" now to just convince SWMBO that I really, really, really need to keep it for parts  She doesn't want me to clutter up the garage again. Yep, the bags are very nice. Never really thought about hard mounted luggage, but it is the way to go, now that I have. No bungees, zippers or covers, just open, load, lock and go. Bill |

New pics
I decided to try a higher wind screen. Here's the "home-brew" version.
Exactly what I wanted as far as coverage. Over 95 degrees yesterday and it was Way HOT sitting in that still air. I'm looking at some adjustable alternatives. More to come. Bill |

At least the clutter is not scattered about on the front lawn

Thanks all. Gotta keep the "tinkering" going in case I get another chinabike. I still hope they'll come up with a 500cc single street bike.
