Draining engine oil on a 150cc Buggie
Forgive me for this question in the wrong forum but the buggie forum is not active. My new buggie just arrived and I wanted to change oil right off the hop. Problem is there are two drain plugs on this unit. Does anyone know or have one of these units ? I think the rear drain plug is for the tranny gearcase and the front plug is for the crankcase. Any help guys Thanks

Welcome!
If your 150 is a GY6, then you're correct. I used Castrol Syntec 75W90 in the gearbox and some other synthetic 10W30 in the engine (I think it was Pennzoil Platinum). Motorcycle oil is not needed in the GY6 because it doesn't have a wet clutch. Also, there is a filter on the right side of the engine that you should remove and clean at each oil change.

Its okay here for now. The reason the buggy forum is not active is due to you being about the only owner here.
