In search of zong Sierra

Hello, I recently saw an add for Sierra 200 about 50 miles from my home on Craigslist. I didn't know anything about the bike but a quick google search lead me here. Unfortunately after meeting the owner and looking at the bike I decided it was not worth what the seller was asking. Now I am searching for another one.

I have been studying the forums here for a couple weeks. I called Phil and talked to him but I am in central Alabama and it is about 450 mile trip to go look at what he has. Does anyone have any other options I could look at?

Welcome to these forums, Bama; we are glad you found us! As WG predicted, let me begin the "deluge."

I am certainly not trying to undercut Phil, but you might be able to get a look at the Zong by visiting the Memphis warehouse of LewPack International.

http://www.lewpackinternational.com/zongshen.html

P.S. The LewPack site also mentions an Alpharetta location, but it doesn't mention the state. Do you think they are talking about Alpharetta, Georgia?

I have looked at them and called several times with no return call. They are located in GA but If I went with them it would be to drop ship to Memphis I think. I am going to call Phil back this week, I honestly just don't know what my options are right now. By the way, your write-ups on the Sierra are one of the main reasons I am looking that way. Thanks

You're welcome, Bama.

It isn't a good sign if LewPack International won't return your phone calls for a potential sale. I encourage you to work with Phil; he will do his best to help you.

Hello Bamarat. I purchased my zong from a dealer located in Miami called scooter nation. They were able to provide shipping at a relatively low cost right to my door. The phone# if you are interested 305-599-0125.

A word about "lewpack" I dont know what kind of buisness this guy is running but I first tried to purchase a bike from him. We set up payment, shipping, he even charged my account for the purchase. After several days no word, I saw the charge had been canceled and I never heard from him again although I tried to call several times. Shady stuff.

If you don't want to go through the hassle of shipping I suggest you keep a close eye on Craigslist and wait for the right opportunity. I actually see them for sale quite often in my area, but rarely at the right price good luck, keep us posted on your search.

That is "shady stuff," indeed! Thank you for information, Vash. I will certainly not refer anyone to LewPack International in the future! :(

It is Alpharetta, Ga. I have seen them on ebay a few times there.

I would encourage you to keep looking and try to work with Phil. You may want to check uship.com and see what it would cost to have it shipped to you.

Thanks for all the help everyone. Just as an update I did manage to talk to the Pack half of LewPack. He said they no longer used the Memphis warehouse so my options would be to pick up the one he had in Alpharetta, GA or to drop ship to me. I talked with Phil again yesterday and I think I am going to go with him.

I will keep you updated.

He said he had one that was a "demo" in Alpharetta that he would sell. I think mainly what they do is get orders then have them shipped directly from Zong in Miami to the customer.

Heading out in the morning for a road trip to meet Phil. If all goes well I will be the owner of a Zong in less than 24 hours.

If you can, please get photos of Phil, et cetera. Sightings of Phil, as with sightings of Elvis, are rare!
