PAINT PICS

Well, after a little break from school I finally got to paint up the bike. After many discussions on color, I decided to go with black since I couldnt decide on what to do with the blue seat without spending a lot of money. I used Krylon Fusion Black (glossy).
Here's a pic of the bike completely stripped down without any plactics

The wind was blowing pretty hard, and I dont have a place to paint, so here's what I used. It's my little paint shack. It worked great!

Here's the final result. I didnt paint the inside of the fairing or under the front fender, so that there would be a little contrasting with the seat. At certain angles, it looks OK. Honestly, I just ran out of paint.

The tail pipe even got a paint job because it was looking kind of rusty. I used Rustoleum High Heat. It works for temperatures up to 1200 degrees. I only put one coat, and so far it is working out great. Honestly I have no idea how hot these exhaust pipes get up to. I also painted the helmet with the Fusion. It looks dirty!!

Here's me on my way to school Monday night right after I put my new clutch cable on it. I was so pumped to ride!! 8)

Black is good for now, but it is defenitely not permanent. I will be looking into that vinyl dye stuff here shortly, and I'll be paintin up the bike again as soon as I do it!

I like the 1st pic without the fender or fairing. Install 2 projectors and it would kinda look like a "street fighter".

Looks awesome, Shea!

Still think that a few pink and purple stripes would really make it shine!

Seriously, you did a great job there. I am trying to see if Lifan can add a black bike to their line-up. Seems to be getting more popular and I will have to say, IMO, that it actually makes the bike look more expensive than they are.

I like the use of that cool looking paint booth, too. S.R.E (Southern Redneck Engineering) at it's best! Keep it up and ride, man!

I personally think flat black looks better on a dirtbike, but good job nonetheless. I will be doing this during the summer!

I saw a flat black custom Harley the other day, the same day my cell phone decided it's not going to take pics anymore, pro paint job and it looked awsome, Madmax Harley and sitting on the seat was a flat black skull cap, I wanted to get a pic cause it reminded me of the helmet sitting on Shea's bike... I am partial to flat black myself but I think Shea and Suave's bikes look awsome in black...
