Daymak is OK, but, IMO, pricey.
I think you'd be better off shopping around a little.
A lot of what they sell is available elswhere, cheaper.
They carry, or have access to most, if not all parts.

I got a 2009 Daymak Pithog 726 this year. (250cc four-stroke)

I mainly got it for the price as it was this or nothing, but I did make sure it was at least ok.

Now after a few months riding on trails and a couple small tracks I have enough to make an opinion.

It's not bad! I am VERY satisfied with it.

To clarify, I started off on a 2001 XR200 back in 2001, after that I moved up to a 98 CR250 and then a 2001 CR250 both of which I raced. I'm not a casual rider, I ride hard, full throttle (which may have contributed to my broken wrist back in 2003, but that actually wasn't my fault, fluke accident).

So, let me start out with the bad or what I didn't/don't like:
-- It has the power of a CRF150 or the XR200, same power as a trail bike, about 16hp. A lot of torque tho, just can't wheelie on engine power alone.
-- The suspension is prob the worst feature of the bike, but not too bad.
-- The handle bars were WAY too low for me, I'm 6'3" and I had to hunch when standing, put on great ATV bars for $20 that are nice and tall. (I had a problem with the height on the CR as well, tho)
-- Not as loud as a YZF250 but still loud, can be a problem depending on where you go.
-- The odd loose nut and bolt, I only had two.

Now for the good:
-- $2000!!! brand new vs. $9000 for a jap. 250 four-stroke!
-- It handles very well.
-- It has torque. Second or third up a very steep hill, no prob.
-- Although the suspension isn't the best, I can keep up with my buddy on his 05 YZF250 (he used to race too).
-- It looks pretty aggressive, everyone asks about it.
-- It's a tad lighter than my buddy's YZF250, I can throw it around in a sand pit with ease.
-- If it smashes or gets stolen, I'm not really down a lot of money.
-- Did I mention it's only $2000 brand new?

So, I got this bike after having sold my CR250 three years ago and hadn't had a bike since. I did a test between the YZF250 and the Daymak. There really is a marked difference. I can take the whoops without too much trouble on the daymak, but I was able to hit those puppies in fourth gear hammered down on the YZF and it felt nice, whereas the Daymak sometimes was a bit jarring. And after having ridden the Daymak for a few months solid before this it took me about 15 minutes to get properly accustomed to the power. The Daymak I'm usually pulling the throttle all the way but on the Yamaha I had to check that.

So my final word is that it's a good bike with a great price, just don't expect to win any races.

It kind of looks like a GIO..

The Panterra 250 looks like a sharp bike.....even though its 230cc engine.
