My personal comparison between a HiBird and Roketta 200
A year ago, I bought a Hi Bird 200 and rate it a 9 one a one to ten scale, a Honda would rate a 15 on that scale, but I am not in that league.. I recently bought a slightly used Roketta and rate it an 8 on the same scale.
The hi Bird is built a little bit stronger and has a bit higher quality of fit. Now I have to tell You this bike does not say Roketta anywhere on the bike. The title says Roketta and the vin matches up. The bike says Shinray or close to that on the label. I have no idea what that means. The battery box is weak on the Roketta, the passenger foot pegs rattle and are flimsy, the plastics are poor quality, and scratch easily, The mirrors are not wide enough mount, so they are hard to adjust properly. I do think the Roketta came with a higher quality tire design. Both are a great value, if you get them from a good dealer! |

Culcune seems to know more about this than most of us mere mortals, but as I understand it, Roketta doesn't really make a lot (or any?) of the bikes they brand.
If you look on the Roketta site, you will find a lot of bikes that are almost certainly NOT made by Roketta, but only sold by Roketta. http://www.roketa.com/product/productlist/2628.shtml (scroll down) It sounds like you have a Roketta branded Shinray. And if I'm not mistaken, Shinray is the bike that Supersignet has here - http://www.mychinamoto.com/ I think that bike on the front page w/ the girl is his Shinray, and I'm pretty sure there's some threads on it around here from last year. I could be wrong about most of that, though....so don't listen to me. Oh, one more thing... We love pictures!

Sorry but I am having trouble with the pics. One more thing on my Roketta, the seat does not fit well, I have modified it, and it will be tolerable.
