Is Roketta a good bike?

Anyone want to comment on the overall quality of the 200 GY Roketta? I just bought one and it only has 15 miles on it. I will go through it as if it were new. It did take a tumble, but it is fine. It cost me $700.

In general, I have heard good things about the Roketa motorcycles; however, I have never owned one. I am confident that others will soon offer the value of their experience with these bikes.

Depends on what You plan on doing with it, MX or abuse it it will fail you. if you Go over it with a fine tooth comb at first and use it for basic riding it will last ya for a good while depedning on how well it was taken care of before you.

I have a 2005 Roketa 200 RSM enduro bought new in 2006. Several little things will go wrong but nothing that cant be fixed. The battery box holder welds will break from vibration for sure. Cheap stuff like sprockets/chain will wear out quickly. Lots of stuff gets loose so thread locker,cable ties,extra lock washers etc will be needed real soon. Also the rear license plate mount will also vibrate apart. You will need to probally order the upgraded clutch springs from Barnett as the orgional ones will allow the clutch to begin slipping. A rear sprocket gear change will allow you to get about 65mph out of it. The motor in mine is strong and runs good. Did the exhuast mod holes which peped up the motor,plus sounds better now. I have about 2700 plus miles now. Bruce at EJ cycles and this forum have been the only reason I have kept it, Both great for parts knowledge and the parts themselves. Over 3yrs I have spent about $400.00 in parts to keep it rolling. Still not bad considered that it cost about $900.00 delivered to the house. Hope you can do the work yourself. Chris.

I think that for the most part, Lifanoids are Lifanoids. All similar (but not necessarly interchangeable) parts and engines. Different stickers, sometime different body panels but basically the same. One place clones another clone and so on and so on. I bet most of the major parts are sourced from the same places back in the PRC.

I am going through this bike and have found that it has some pollution stuff on it that my HIBird does not have. Is this a good thing or not?

It usually does not matter. If you don't like it or if it affects performance you can remove it. It's all easy except the catylist.

I don't know if it is a problem yet, but part of it has a metal flange that is mounted directly on the head, so that might be a bit difficult to seal up.
