New 250 Enduro coming.
Hey guys. The folks that I have been associated with over the past couple years through my scooter forum have made a huge change this year. They are dropping the Chinese manufactured scooters and are now the exclusive distributors of the Taiwan built CPI line of products. Aside from scooters they are importing a 24 hp liquid cooled enduro. It will come in as a Super Moto but will have the enduro wheels and tires available for it. Reported quality is way over what we are used to and performance as well. Frankly he is considering importing with a bigger rear sprocket as the bike will nearly hit 90 stock and at 253 pounds is way to fast in his opinion. 2 year parts and labor warranty and 1 year roadside assistance. Pricing is not confirmed but he is guessing right around $3900 which puts it triple our China rides but it seems decent for what you get. I will be flying out to CA first of Feb. to try this bike out and his scooters as well. The website is http://www.flypowersports.com Here are the bikes specs and picture.

The tiawan stuff is supposed to be a bit better quality but at $3900 I'd rather spend the few extra bucks and get a bike that I can find parts and accessories for most anywhere.
It's a decent looking bike (I"d like to see more pics) except that exhaust, maybe the exhaust doubles as a rock guard also. ![]() Actually it looks like a super-moto bike and the exhaust wouldnt be an issue running the pavement but off roading it would be a concern. |

Wonder if it's the same group that made the Bridgestones way back. They had a great reputation for quality.
Still the Super Sherpa goes for about 4,000US new and has basically the exact same specs except for water cooling. Full Kawasaki support as well.

I agree on the price, but it looks nice. The exhaust needs to be changed for an off-road bike.
Also I edited the website link spelling. added an S to port. Allen

CVT Bike looks nice, too!
CPI also has a nice looking 250cc CVT touring bike with a top speed of 90MPH.
I'd like to get something like that for my wife! ![]() ![]() http://www.flypowersports.com/motorcycles/GTR_250i/

The dirt model does have a different exhaust. Didn't see that before.
That touring model caught my attention also. Scooter will some better looks and riding position. Looks like a great commuter. Allen

That kinda money, I'd have to pop for a lightly used jap 650.
Maybe they could cut the warranty period to 12 months, Drop the road side service, and drop the price quite a bit? They could always offer the extra coverage at an extra cost to make someone feel more comfortable. |

It amuses me how these new upstart companies or companise that add NEW product want to ramp up the price of their bikes without having paid their dues.
They drop out of nowhere and with little to no consumer knowledge of them they expect to get top dollar or near top dollar. They first need to make a name for themselves then bring on the better models with the high tech engineering that will bring the prices they want. I'm not really knocking that bike or the company making it but what else have they done and what have their products done. I wonder why someone would sink $3900 dollars into a bike that is unkown as yet. Personally I hope it does well as I feel we benefit from having more choices out there and since suzuki and kawasaki seem to be selling about the same exact (rebadged)products they only count as one company to me. ![]() Hope it isnt another vapor bike. |

For $3900...you get a lightly used KLR650!!!
A real touring dual sport... I would never buy a china bike again unless I knew for sure it could be road legal like all other bikes, and no hoops to jump through. I didn't buy my china bike to be road legal just a learning tool but if I had wanted to put it on the road..good luck! I do like the bike how ever and you can't beat the price with a soft noodle, but the headaches associated with the legalities of a China bike just aren't worth the BS... So if a bike came on the market like this one..for $3900...it better be on the road same day or the day I picked it up from the dealer...that is if i couldn't find a slightly used KLR either 250 or 650...sorry! |
