50 Years Ago Today...

...Mrs.C and I tied the Knot. It's been quite a ride. Kids, grandkids, homes, long vacations.

Almost wish my late FIL was still around so we could both flip him off, again, for telling our wedding guests we wouldn't last two years together.

Congratulations on your 50th Wedding Anniversary. That’s an accomplishment that not many will achieve. Mine and I are on our 44th.

It is not a birthday. It is a day of recognition.

It is great news buddy. I think I found one too. So lucky.

Congrats, that is amazing.

Let that resentment go...consider how long you might have stayed together had he NOT said something so asinine. You know...like Neo when he broke the vase.

Thanks all.

We had a nice dinner at the Wilmot Stage Stop last night. https://www.wilmotstagestop.com/

Our waitress was making small talk, asking if we'd ever been there before and I said we'd been many times but not since we moved. She then asked when we first visited and Mrs.C said it was the first nice place I took her when we were in high school. As we are obviously not teenagers anymore she asked if we were celebrating an anniversary and Mrs.C told her our 50th. Boy, that lit a fire under her. She told the manager and our drinks were on the house plus they gave us a small cake after our dinner, so she earned a nice trip.

Dinner was what the Wilmot Stage Stop is famous for, steak. We both had a salad, filet mignon with a lobster tail, and a huge baked tato with a stick of butter. Mmmmm.

Lazy day today.
