Just wanted to update! The motor is still kicking ass! I’ve probably got 500 miles on it. Mostly street but have done a few full day service and fire roads with no issues whatsoever. I would like to swap the PZ30 carb with a proper Mikuni VM but it runs fine so I’ll hold off. I do plan to swap to a 420 sprocket setup from a 428. This thing currently has so much low end torque that it wheelies taking off at a stop if not easy on the clutch. Top speed is around 50 but I’m hoping to bump that up to closer to 60. I need a 32t rear sprocket and 420 is the only one I can find to fit my custom 14” wheel and hub setup. Other than that all is good!

any reason why you can't run a 16t or 17t front sprocket?
looked back and it seems your only on a 14t front....

Not sure if id want to go down to such a small rear sprocket...id be starting to worry if the chain might saw through the swing arm and wear out sprockets to fast.

I'll probably leave it for now. I currently am running a 428 combo but may go down to a 420 if I decide to lower the rear sprocket. There is still plenty of slack on the swing arm before any damage could occur. I think I am running a 16t now...but honestly I can't remember haha

Thanks mate! I love this damn bike, I ride it the most out of anything else I have. Just wish it had normal shifting and not shift down to go up in gear lol but I suppose it makes you more of an all around better rider

A 17t front might fit and can be found pretty cheap.

ever considered if a heel n toe gear shift lever might fit?

Long time since a post! Still running this beast! So far all is good still. Finally developed a left side oil leak I’ll have to diagnose. It’s either shift shaft or front sprocket counter seal. Then the hard part, finding parts lol I am planning to electric convert it in the coming cold months so may just run it with the leak.
