I own a Kawasaki Z650, possibly the quietest 2-wheeled vehicle with a motor. I have an 80-year-old neighbor who complained about the noise, even called the cops. Policeman came by with a decibel meter, the bike barely registered on it. I am convinced the neighbor is just irritated at the fact that some young punk biker lives 2 houses down from her. I am 70...

My Mother had a Cordoba when I was in Highschool, and it had the 400 4 barrel, which was pretty peppy for a mid 70s car, but it was really quiet. When I would rev it my friends would make fun of me, and say it sounded like a black snake in the road hissing.
