A saddle before a horse.
I found a deal on a crusty bike looking at online markets.
It had all the important bits I was looking for being the frame and wheels...but no seat I thought I had the sale locked in and offered to make arrangements. Looked on ebay and found this seat and tank for a really good price so purchased it... Thought everything was falling into place.... But then the crusty bike was sold under my nose before I could collect it....O well saved my self the fuel bill had I picked it up... So now I have a saddle and no horse. Perhaps a better horse was meant for the saddle... I'm pretty happy with the condition of the tank and seat. Seams to be original leather with a couple of goop splotches that I rubbed off with kerosene and some white paint which is slowly flaking off too. Bit of surface rust nothing im not used to by now. I'll be a show piece on the shelf for a while. |

I had a Harley like that. Bought the solo seat for the Sporty frame and roller that I was going to build. Roller rolled away. Still have the seat! Garage art.....
