It looks like the metal rings would be suited more to punches than wrenches and the plastic adjusters for wrenches instead of punches.
With the motion pro punch looking at it some more it has a sacrificial brass tip which saves the collars from damage and when it gets any galling can be filed down back into shape. So if you are into brass tips then thats a plus. The Tusk is zinc coated but seems to be a steel tip so there is that. In the end either will likey do the job.

FYI, I looked at all the reviews of folks that got the motion pro shock punch with brass tip and I just ordered one to do my Templar's shock rings from now on. Stop influencing me its all good

Yeah, not for that price..
For the same price I use this for all my torque needs: https://www.harborfreight.com/12-in-...ter-58706.html You get alarms for the torque range and for anything less you can just watch the digital readout and stop. You can switch it to all the worlds different torque standards so you have it all in one shop plus it had tighter calibration and stays in calibration longer than my manual torque wrenches. And for what you are looking at I would look at something like this but I have not got one myself yet. I would see what the whole range is in store as well. I have two 1/2" adapter sets from HF already (so I can use 3/8 and 1/4 etc.--the black and the chrome moly sets) and the HF 1/2" breaker bar to completes my setup. https://www.harborfreight.com/hand-t...ece-68999.html

I'm stumped, that makes no sense if the Templar M comes with the same adjustable suspension as the Templar X?
The rear shock is supposed to be fully adjustable, have an external reservoir with a nitrogen bladder setup and a compression valve clicker adjuster. I am going to borrow the image of the top of the forks since this one is better than any I have at the moment. Though there is an add-on nipple installed on the one in this photo. Top has an air bleeder valve and suspension clicker adjustment for rebound. And then at the very bottom of the forks there should be another set of suspension clicker adjustments to dial in front suspension compression flow rates. That's the adjustable suspension on the Templar X model.

Temp M definitely does not come with adjustable suspension. Out of the various iterations since the Templars showed up last Spring, only the X has ever had the adjustable suspension. The real point of the standard Temp and Temp M models is to have lower priced versions. But that is a good thing. For instance, you can still get the ZS172FMM-3A (5speed) engine on a enduro bike for $1600

I don't think people appreciate that aspect of how much info is out there on the Hawks. How much of my own money I risked on a hunch more than data to find out if something could work, like the yss fork valves. How much others have spent as well since I compiled a lot of information from other users as well to create the big list of stuff in the resource guide, which is probably still missing quite a lot of useful info. Best thing you or somebody else can do is record every tiny bit of data about the bikes. Measurements, torque specs, etc. Even that 460mm shock length mentioned here is a perfect example.

It's a group effort. No individual deserves a thanks in my eyes.

Based on looks alone that’s the closest I can see as well. A couple things, yes changing just the spring is normal to do in shocks and they sell and make special tools just for compressing the springs so you can swap them out on rear shocks. Second I do remember somewhere in the main Templar post on the forum someone had posted a parts listing. It was a google document I think and in Chinese so you would have to copy and paste into google Translate to see what’s being written. That might be the way to get technical specifics to cross-compare with other shocks.
