Winch for Tao Raptor 200

Hey guys,

I am looking to get a winch to mount on my Raptor 200. Before I order one I was hoping to get some words of wisdom from the community.

Are most winches adjustable to be mounted on any atv? I am worried I will order one but I wont be able to mount it.

Is there anything I should look out for while looking at winches? 1500lb is more than enough but I saw some cheap 2000lb winches as well.

Any recommendations?

I put a 2500# Harbor Freight winch on my daughters UTV which is a good bit heavier than the ATV. It had no problems winching the UTV out of a deep ditch. You can always catch them on sale for around $50. They also sell a mounting plate for it too. Here's a link to the thread on my install on the UTV. http://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=22711

I put a harbor freight badlands winch on mine. I pulled a stalled out 4x4 quad out of a deep(as deep as the quad) cut with it without any issues.

I would suggest Smittybilt 97495 XRC, as it has powerful cable with a 100-foot length.
