.13mm is simply .0051 inches. Not an unrealistic figure on an engine that has never had the valve lash adjusted and has been run for a very long time.

I suggest you take your own advice here because you sound ridiculous.

If you need help with the paying attention part, pay attention to the fact that he consistently used mm as his figures through the entire thread. He is using the same system of measurement from start to finish. He never confused them with inches, not even once.

So, now, please stop trying to sound like you know more than the rest of us. Nobody here is impressed.

Just stick with mm measurements. You are getting yourself confused. The manual's recommendation for .05mm - .07mm is fine. One zero.

I didn't bother with tire pressure because this thread is only about valve adjustment. Didn't want to get it straying off topic.

Edit:
See post #15, where I give the correct values in red. Both mm and inches. You can see the relationship between them there.

Good Morning, did you catch the part the numbers maybe off in the manual? I wasn’t trying too sound like I know it all. Who’s going to put 40 lbs. in the rear tire when 32 is max. I see different opinions here about valve clearance also that don’t match the manual, hence pay attention! Just a member here with observations. I’m also proud of the boat guy for going so long on his bike without valve adjustments. It kinda shows why we like these bikes!

The only problem I see with your manual is rear tire pressure recommendations. Possibly they previously used a skinnier rear tire, which would have a higher pressure, then switched to a wider tire but didn't revise the manual.

You are hijacking this thread and making it all about you. Stop it. Get over yourself.

Hi Tom, I sure didn’t want to get any feathers ruffled! Please accept my apology for trying to state my thoughts. I have read and have listen too a lot of the opinions and thoughts here. I’ll promise to get over myself.

Nobody gives two farts about tire pressures. This is a thread about valve specs,

So a question about blinker fluid would be totally inappropriate here?

(I'm thinking of you using a word that rhymes with bassmole.....)
