Hello from Oklahoma

I am new to the forum and new to the world of motorcycles. I recently bought a used 2020 hawk 250. It is stock and has not been modified in any way. But with some questions in a different section, all that will change soon. I was so impressed with it (power and stability), I bought 2 new ones last week for my 2 sons for Christmas this year. I look forward to chatting with you folks.

I am about 50 miles south of Tulsa. How much riding do you do in Oklahoma?

Pure off roading usually lake Murray sometimes talihina area. Riding the tbr7 on back roads sometimes Robbers cave and broken bow. Both of those areas have off road areas as well but robbers cave is small and I haven't tried the ones near broken bow yet.

Usually ride in Oklahoma 4 or 5 times a year.

You should east and ride in Mena Arkansas sometime. Great riding.

Welcome to the Forum! There's a lifetime of reading and resources on here. Of all the China Bikes that are floating around out there, the Hawk is my favorite. Happy to hear you're enjoying it enough to buy two more!

Sorry of this needs to be in a different thread or section of the forum. I wanted to give an update on my first post. The stock hawk 250 isn't stock anymore. I upgraded the dash to a digital cluster. I really like the rpm gauge vs not having one. I also replaced the sprockets to a 17 tooth front and a 45 rear. What's the best upgrade to do from this point for better fuel mileage and power?

Welcome to here! I have a friend in Muskogee, but have never visited.

For questions about the Hawk, read up on member Megadan's thread(s). He has taken a couple Hawks on modification journeys that show how far one can go with modifying a Hawk. His first Hawk was stolen, but from the ashes he bought and built a second one of extreme magnitude. Or, should I say, 'Megatude'?!

Thank you. I just found the sticky post from Megadan. There is a ton of good information there. Looks like there are a lot of upgrading to do.
