RE Himalayan 450?

Looks like RE is working on a Himalayan with a water cooled 450 in it. 40 or so HP. It probably wont make it to the south pole with that engine.
I have heard that a Himalayan 650 would be produced, but the 450 is a surprise to me. A little more at the link.

I hope so. The RE-H is a nice bike but woefully under-powered for its weight.

Price will always be the consideration. What things compare to at similar price points is what I compare to. If the price point of the new 450 starts approaching the cost of, say, the KLR, then things have to be reconsidered.

That will always be the dilemma/deciding factor and as long as the China variants remain at 1/3 or less cost of a similar Japanese model, then they make perfect sense.

I never felt like my Himalayan was underpowered.
