TBR7 Deal or No Deal?

Hi again everyone,

I just found a person listing a used TBR7 for $850 a couple days ago and just wanted to get everyone's thoughts. Seller stated they got it to learn on and get their MC endorsement on their DL, and that it's never been wrecked, only dropped once. It has clean title and 3K on the odometer. Anything I should watch out for or be leery of?

Thanks in advance

If it's still got the original speedometer, the odometer counts "China miles" which is pretty close to Kilometers, so the bike probably is pretty low milage. Just check the oil and look over the bike for the usual used bike stuff and you should be ok.

So given its in good shape you feel thats a fair price? I plan on getting a closer look and giving it a test ride if I can later this week

Take it for a ride and be sure everything is good and offer less, but as long as the title is clear and its registered already, or you know it can be registered in your state, then I'd think it's a fair price.

Thanks TTR,
Have contacted the seller and will be taking a look at it in the next few days if it hasn't sold by then. Too good to pass up provided nothing drastically wrong. I gather that there have been issues with titles on some crate bikes, or bikes in general. Passed on another SSR last week bc the "owner" said he didn't have a title.....

Great i paid $1508.00 for mine last Christmas for a 2021 model, !300 miles a not 1 problem.Since then rejeted carburetor, new muffler, chain and sprockets, knobby tires. I think you could make money just reselling it,but if you keep it thats a good deal. If it was close to me I would buy. Good luck

Close to half original price for a low miles one year old bike is a good deal. Pay attention to the front end feel. Handlebars straight? Front fork compresses straight and smooth? And if true that it was down just once, there should be no road rash or dents or cracked plastic other than from that. It sounds like you have found the right deal.

Honestly, since these bikes have changed so little over the years (I think they got a rear disc brake in 2019) that the year really isnt a big factor.

That's what I had thought as well. And maybe that's what the seller thought as he changed his mind on letting it go for the time being.

Not exactly a lot of demand this time of year in Ohio, but sure seemed like a deal to me. Especially since it's already titled. Honestly I'm not dissapointed. Still watching out for another XF250....

Great bike at that price especially if they took care of the title already.
