12k miles across South America on Rx3s
Nice, informative article about how to make a tour across South America on "disposable" Chinese bikes.
The riders didnt consider them disposable after 12,000 tough miles. https://advrider.com/riding-south-am...e-motorcycles/

I'd say that if a bike can be trouble-free for at least 25k miles as i believe the RX3 has proven (and RX4 by association) then its definitely not disposable, that amounts to 7-8 years for me. Heck if you go by depreciation alone and say 1k per year on the conservative side then these bikes pay for themselves after 4-5 years, not a bad proposition.

RX3 Proves Its Mettle, Once Again
Quote:
I've had mine going on six years and over 17,000 miles, and I can say without hesitation that I have never regretted buying it; my Versys 650 on the other hand, not so much. |

What did you not like about the Versys? I've been looking for a used one to check out.
