Trouble getting neutral
Hey guys, I have been breaking in the Brozz today and just noticed for the first time that I am having trouble up shifting into neutral. I know it can sometimes be tricky going up or down the half gear but my digital cluster is even indicating I am in the neutral position, though the bike still has a friction point as if it's in 1st and if I let off the clutch it rolls forward and stalls.
Any ideas? I am still using the break in oil that came with the bike, will be changing to 20W50, not sure if that could help, or if there were any adjustments that can be made. Thank you!

I am hoping that as the bike breaks in everything will work correctly.

Check your clutch adjustment.

Its because bike is still new, put some miles on it and also put normal oil in it instead of leaving whatever they have in there. Many of the bikes hit false neutrals as well when they are brand new. Change that oil and give it some break in miles, it wilL get better.

It will get better as it breaks in . My Recon is the same way right now. Clutch adjustment is also probably needed. As these bikes heat up it seems if the clutch isn’t adjusted just right it causes a shift issue. I’m seeing false neutrals too. Planning on changing the break in oil soon, this will help.

Totally different bike, same exact problem.
Neutral is a tricky find on mine also. I have found a trick that seems to work. At least 90% of the time. Shift down to first, then back up to second, and then a little half shift down to find neutral. Mostly works on my bike. Going from first to neutral is pretty much a no go with my bike. I have about 250 miles on it right now. I’m on my 2nd quart of break in oil.

Just giving an update, my bike now has 40 miles on it with 20w50 oil in it. It runs and shifts smooth, I never have any issues with false neutrals or finding neutral with my half shifts.
I guess it just took a little bit of riding to clear up

650 miles on mine. No improvement. Maybe just a little.
Planning to change to the regular oil next. I’m still on 15w40 Rotella T3 break in oil. What’s the collective wisdom say about the next oil to use, with a nod to this pesky non-neutral finding issue. I should note also, it finds neutral just great when I’m trying to accelerate quickly off a red light at an intersection. In those cases it goes 1st(clutch)-> neutral(redline)(clutch)->2nd, etc etc. pretty embarrassing. Looks and sounds like I messed up, but it goes into neutral instead of second when I’m working up from first at a stoplight sometimes.

I have 20w50 Valvoline in my Brozz an 20w50 Amsoil in the Hawk.
It definitely seemed to make a difference in higher quality.

Yeah I changed the oil early just for peace of mind @ like 20 miles... I have more time than miles on my bike, a lot of engine run time in the woods and stuff aside from just cruising. I make my bike sound old haha but it's still a spring chicken.
