It may be easier if you ordered another set of gear in her size too.

Actually it looks like you are doing pretty good. Wear some boots too.

If you plan to use it as a daily driver get some cheap rain gear too.

Congrats!

Tools, oil and loctite....sounds like you've about got 'er covered. You might add a lift/jack/pulley or friend of some sort to help lift the bike for installing the wheels....and maybe an energy/caffiene drink of your choice.

Get your metric wrenches and sockets together mostly 8mm to 15mm with cover almost everything. Adjustable wrench, needle nose pliers, hammer, screwdrivers, engine oil, possible need air for tires, chain and cable lube, loctite, zip ties, duct tape?, electrical tape?, gas.

That should about cover it. I would get a fuel filter too and make sure you clean the tank before you put gas in it.

Drain out the shipping oil and fill with your preferred oil. 1.1 liters.

You're definately going to look like big bird. lol

Keep the wife just make sure she gets a toy of her own and maybe some flowers....heard woman like that sorta thing... 8O .
I use Shell Rotella 15-40 in my wifes and my Birds and it seems to be working great. I do live in a climate that gets pretty hot in the summer so you may have to go with something different depending on your climate.
Good luck and lots of pleasant fun rides!

Oops, sorry. BTW, I had that exact Z1R helmet last Summer when I dumped my bike at about 50 mph. It held up very well. Good choice.

I hope you still like the yellow bike in a year from now, otherwise you'll have to change your jacket and helmet too.

Go through the sticky note about the bike setup. I tell you, every little thing I skipped that I thought wasn't neccasary, bit my in the ar$$e when I least expected it.
Replace the oil.
Oil and grease everything.
Clean the tank!!!!!!!!!!!
Loctite loctite loctite , everything.
If possible, drain the brake fluid and replace with good quality.

The shell rotella 15w40 is good. Anything for 4stroke motorcycles is fine.
Car oil that doe NOT have the "energy conserving" start label on it.

10w40 is a good weight too.

Shell is available at walmart.

The fuel filter is available at most bike shops. Also a briggs and stratton lawnmower filter from home depot will even work.
