I agree with the others, a helmet is not a great place to save a buck. Ryan has a good video on helmets and has done his homework.

I've been wondering the same thing. I currently have an Icon Alliamce GT but it is made for the street and I dont want to ride with it during the summer in the trails on my TT250.
I will be doing 50/50 street and trail so I came across this 509 Snowmobile helmet which is also marketed as an adventure helmet. What do you think about the 509 for an all purpose street and trail riding helmet? Never heard of them. My question would be whether they're ECE rated for street use, or snowmobile use. I wouldn't want to crash in something only rated for crashing in the snow.
