Thanks for all the info, the torque specs is nice to have for sure.The oem chain is 428 though

Just a thought... It might be nice to list the torque specs on Imperial, too, I don't think that many Americans are measuring in Newton-meters.

A few minutes with a converter gave me this Newton/Meters to Foot/Pounds

(rounded up when necessary)


25=18
30=22

You can shave the seat foam down. I did that so my son could use it. He is about your height. I just bought an extra seat for $40 and shaved it down.

Yes it can be lowered. in the front loosen the triple tree bolts that hold the fork tubes and slide the fork tubes up as much as you want or can get away with. This is zero cost. If its not enough you could fit shorter springs in the front struts.

As for the rear , i drilled new holes below the original lower shock mount (its part of the swing arm). i drilled the new hole 3/4 inch below the original hole and this dropped the bike about 2 inches.

I think i could have gone 1 inch down if i needed more or 1/2 inch for less lowering.

I used a long drill bit (8 or nine inches long) and did not remove the wheel, only the chain guard. obviously you need to support the bike to do it.

Your next problem is the side stand, which may become too long for the bike , this would require a piece to be cut out and re welded, or a shorter side stand from a different model.

I wish I had a longer side stand. I'm always afraid it's going to fall over and use a 2x4 and it still leans a bit too much.
