Exhaust question..

So - like everyone that's replaced the stock exhaust pipe / muffler; I too got the exact same setup - Zongshen 250cc X-Pro - looks a little like the Apollo 250.. but, mine does NOT FIT??

Not sure if I just need to drill the holes out bigger for the manifold bolts, but when I just lay it up in place and hold it, the exhaust port doesn't quite fit flush. Maybe around 1/8th of an inch not completely sealed around the edge.

Do I need to just drill the holes and start assembly, obviously before applying pressure to lock down, get it lined up and after bolting together; will it seal??

I haven't seen anyone with the Hawk bikes have an issue with that.. of course, drilling the holes for the mounting plate - but not the issue I'm having.

Just asking if anyone has had that issue - or if everyone did and I just need to bolt it together for it to seal??

Tried heating and bending the pipe about an inch tighter in the bend to see if that helped but nothing even budged! Note: I don't have pipe bending equipment; just tried to see if I could move it with heat and my vise and a good few sweaty attempts..

Anything would help at this point - I don't REALLY want to have to send it back, but after putting pressure and heat to it not sure if they'll accept it.. but it IS Amazon..

Thanks!

All good everyone - returned exhaust and reinstalled the stock pipe and muffler. Not fooling with it.
